
DESIGN ANALYSIS AND CHECKS
The designed machines are checked through the use of software based on the finite element method (MSC.Patran and MSC.Marc).
Subsequent analyses are carried out on the results obtained for the purpose of defining the fatigue behavior of the machines by following two different procedures which are described below:
he fabricated metalwork and welded joints are submitted to fatigue testing by using the CNR-UNI 10011 standard.
Normally S-N curves (stress - N° of cycles) are used with safety lying between the two and three standard deviations; this is equivalent to having a safety on the mechanical properties of the parts analyzed between 97.73% and 99.87%.
The components of the mechanism are tested according to F.E.M. regulation 1.001 3RD EDITION “Rules for design of hoisting appliances”.
Such regulation sets a design standard used above all in testing hoisting appliances for which safety plays a vitally important role.

The depend on the correct frame and cinematic calculation and on the building accuracy.
The main parts where we apply the most new finish elements technologies are:
1. Reduction of the press bolster deformation under a controlled load spammed on the toll surface;
2. Reduction of the ram bolster deformation under a controlled load spammed on the toll surface;
3. Total press lengthening reduction control;
4. Reduction of the press deformation under a non parallel bolster-ram condition caused by a non cantered load.
Points 1 and 2 are obtained working on dimensional details localized in the press base and ram.
Point 3 is obtained working on parts of point 1 and 2 and on the dimensional parts that closes the frame ring (shoulders, connecting rods, shafts, supports ec.).
This value is very important referred to the type of working the press is studied for: blanking (plastic return of the material) and coining (high quality of the finished part surface).
Point 4 is obtained more than working on the general dimensional details even on the ram guiding systems. Non centred ram loads are considered and studied (es. A lot of transfer works).
High technology software Investments and engineering experiences allowed to obtain the increasing of the rigidity of the press working allot on the connection of the metal sheets more that the only increasing the sheets dimensions.
